The City of Terrell Hills is accepting applications for (2) Police Officer positions.

STARTING RATE: $5,250.17 to 6,005.18 monthly, and paid overtime. Education and professional certification pay. Experienced applicants can receive credit for up to 5 years (8%) longevity for past work history.    

BENEFITS: TMRS 7% 2 to 1 City match, 100% employee medical/dental/vision insurance paid, 22 vacation days per year, 8 hours sick time earned per month, and direct deposit. 

POSITION SUMMARY: Enforces federal, state and local laws and ordinances under general direction. Performs various duties to support law enforcement activities as well as provide service to the citizens in an efficient and professional manner. Patrols city streets, parks, commercial and residential areas to preserve the peace and enforce the laws and ordinances. Responds to calls for service; investigates accident scenes, criminal activity reports, civil and domestic disturbances, missing person reports, reports of prowlers and illegal drug activities, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicant must be certified and licensed in Texas as a Police Officer, hold a basic TCOLE certification, and have a valid Class “C” Texas driver license with an acceptable driving record. Applicants must pass a written examination, background investigation, interview, pre-employment physical, psychological (if required) and pre-employment drug screen tests; also have the ability to work any shift.

Public Works Crew Tech

The City of Terrell Hills is accepting applications for the position of crew tech

STARTING RATE: $19.90. CDL not required but is a plus. Experienced CDL applicants can receive credit for up to 5 years (8%) longevity for past work history.

BENEFITS: TMRS 7% 2 to 1 City match, 100% employee medical/dental/vision insurance paid, 10 vacation days per year, 8 hours sick time earned per month and direct deposit.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for a variety of assigned daily task such as being on the trash crew picking up trash on a route, picking up brush on the brush route or helping the street department with cutting grass trimming trees/brush and various street repair projects. Job duties may change from day to day.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Have a valid Class “C” Texas driver license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a class “B” CDL. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen tests and physical. Applicant must be able to work in any weather condition and work as part of a team.
